I have a Dell Dimension Desktop purchased in year 2000 when it ran Windows 98SE. In 2004 I installed Suse Linux 9.0. Now it runs faster than my XP laptop! So, if you want your hardware to live longer, install Linux. Unfortunately it’s not all good news. Here is why I cannot ditch Windows ….yet.
